Setting an Out of Office Status for General Users
Need to head out of the office? Admation now allows you to set an Out of Office status when you're going away! You can also nominate a proxy user to manage your account and approvals during your absence. This guide shows you how.
Updating Your Status
When you are aware of time where you'll be out of the office and away from admation, click on Your Name and Set Out of Office.
On the resulting page, you can fill in a form to set your out of office dates and times. You'll also be able to nominate the colleague who you'd like to action work in your absence, if needed.
Click Save Changes once you're done. An out of office status is set automatically and will not require approval from a manager in order to be set.
Viewing Team Leave & Out of Office Statuses
Any existing leave or out of office status for users in your department will be listed below, so that you can be fully informed when picking your proxy.
On this screen leave will be colour-coordinated with:
- Approved leave or out of office days in blue
- Pending leave requests not yet approved by a manager in yellow
- A nominated proxy user, who will be actioning work for someone else in green
Setting an Out of Office for Other People
Only as a department manager can certain users have the added permissions to schedule an out of office (or schedule leave) for other users in their department. When you have this permission enabled for your account, you will notice a set of Settings Cogs next to each person's name on this page.
Click the Settings Cog to set an out of office status for somebody else in your team.
Fill in the out of office form on behalf of your colleague. Then click Save Changes once you're done.
