Using an Alternative Way to Collate Feedback

A Short Summary on Collating Feedback 

When work is forwarded for approval, you become the gatekeeper for any feedback or comments that your stakeholders send back to you. As the person who initiated a forward, you have the process to include or exclude comments sent back to you, through a process known as collating feedback.

There are multiple ways to collate feedback in admation, and the preferred way to do this is located here.

Alternatively, you may opt to use our preview mode to collate feedback, and this guide details the steps to achieve this. 

Accessing Feedback from a Forward Request

After you’ve forwarded artwork for approval or feedback, you'll need to wait to receive a response from your team. In that time, any requests that you've forwarded should be left as pending.

You'll receive an email notification when you receive feedback and it's time to log into the system. Select your file from the in-system notification via your Recent Activity, keeping in mind that the notification may also be in the form of an approval, a thumbs up, or thumbs down, depending on the feedback provided.

From the resulting page, you'll be able to see the details on that submission, including who responded and when. 

Under most circumstances you would Go to Original Item to collate your feedback. However in this guide, we will click Collate Responses for an alternative way to view feedback instead.

Collating Feedback

On the resulting page, you'll see all comments left by eligible users, with an image of the item on the left hand side of your screen.

You can use the pencil icon to edit each individual comment. You can also use the checkboxes along the left hand side of the comments to select the comments you'd like to collate, and include as part of your own feedback. Then click the green Collate Responses button to push that feedback through to your approval.

Sending Your Combined Feedback to the team

Admation will refresh to your full screen approval view, where you can continue to collate comments under the Forwards tab, leave your own feedback under the Approval Info tab, and finally, approve or request changes in the top left hand corner of your screen, once you are ready to submit the combined, collated feedback to the team.
