Editing an Approval Deadline

There may be circumstances where you'd like to update the deadlines for items that are already out for approval. We've recently introduced the functionality to edit your approval deadline from the approval details page.

To find the approval details page, head to your project and scroll down to the Approvals heading. Click the blue square icon  to find more details about that approval.

Then click the i icon  next to the approval that you'd like to edit. The resulting page is known as your approval details page. From here, if there are any pending requests remaining , you'll be able to Edit Deadline.

From here, you can:

• update the deadline for each approval level,
• opt to send up to 3 reminders for those who haven't approved the work yet, 
• send an update notification to those who haven't approved the work yet

Note that you can only set deadlines in the future – not deadlines that have already passed! 

Editing an Approval Deadline when You Edit Your Approvers

You can also edit your approval deadline when you add to or edit the approvers in a workflow.
