Viewing the Status of Work That's Been Forwarded for Approval or Feedback

Whilst you're waiting for colleagues to respond to work that you've forwarded for approval or feedback, you may want additional visibility on the approval statuses for those files. 

This guide focuses specifically on the workflow for the approver that's forwarded work for approval or feedback. If you are a colleague who wants to find out more but did not forward the work yourself, check out this guide instead.

Viewing the Status of Work Pending Feedback

As the person forwards work to other people for review, it may be handy to keep track of how that approval is progressing. To view the status of work that's been forwarded for approval or feedback, click the Sent Approvals button from your recent activity. 

This button will take you to the Sent tab in your Approvals menu. By default, you'll see any Pending approvals where you are waiting for someone to respond.

Locate and click into the desired approval.

Where the approval is a forward, you will notice the options to: 

• Lock or unlock your forward request
• Go to the original item to collate feedback

You can also click the settings icon  next to each person's name to act on behalf of the users, or send reminders out.

Viewing the Status of Forwarded Work Without Access to the Project - Forwards Tab

You can also view the status of work that you have forwarded off from the full screen approval view. 

After you forward work for approval or feedback, you can find a quick summary of forwarded work via the Forwards tab in your Full Screen approval view. This view may be most helpful if you only have access to the approval view, and not the project. It's also a quick way to gauge who's responded to your forward request.

Start by accessing your approval.

From the full screen approval view, ensure that the Forwards tab is highlighted along the right side of your screen. By default, you'll only see the users who have already responded to your request. You can also click the link to Show All Approvers to see the remaining users who may not have responded yet.

The status icons will give you a high level overview of whether people have looked at, approved or requested changes on the work. 

From this page, you can also view Details of that forward. Alternatively, you may click the Settings Icon next to your name to Remind All approvers to action the work.

For each individual user, you can manually Send Reminder messages or Act on Behalf of specific users to approve the work. 

Viewing the Status of Forwarded Work With Access to the Project

If you would like to access work sent for approval or feedback from your admation project, click to locate your project from the Projects menu. Note that this mode is an acceptable workflow, only if you have access to the admation project. 

Click the Blue Arrow Icon for more information next to the approvals section of your project.

Use the Information Icon to click through to the approval. 

Viewing the Status of Items Pending Feedback

On the following page, you will find the approval information for the original workflow. If you have forwarded for approval or feedback, you will see an icon next to your name that indicates this.

Click this to expand and find out more information about your approval. If you were not the person who forwarded for approval, you will see an anonymised version of this view instead. 

Click the Information button to expand upon and view further information about these forwards where needed.
