Requesting Leave
Scheduling and requesting leave is a really handy feature to use in admation. By letting people know when you're out of the office, people have extra visibility around whether or not they should be sending you artwork for approval or allocating tasks to you.
You can request leave by documenting it in the Away Day Manager. To find the Away Day Manager, click on your Name, then click Away Day Manager.
If you're a department manager with the ability to schedule and approve annual leave, jump across to this document on scheduling staff leave.
If you don't manage departments, the away day screen will show a form to request time off. Fill in the form as needed detailing:
- Whether or not your away day will be a part day
- What date your leave begins and ends
- If you've opted for a part day, what time your leave begins and ends
- What type of away day you're requesting
- A brief description of your time away
Click Submit Request once you're happy with your inputs. Once you've submitted your request, your department manager will receive an email prompting them to process your leave request. If you're a department manager looking for ways to process leave requests, check out this guide.
From this screen, you'll also be able to see any pending or approved leave for anyone else within your department. As you're not a department manager, you won't be able to make changes to anyone else's leave other than your own.
Once your leave request is approved, you should receive an email from your department manager via admation to notify you. This will also be the case if your leave request is rejected. If your department is managed by more than one person, you will need all of your department managers to approve the leave request.
