Subscribing to Calendar Notifications from admation

If you use a digital calendar such as Outlook, Google Calendar or iCal, you might find it really handy to subscribe to calendar notifications from the system. Calendar notifications can be sent to users to highlight when various milestones are taking place in the project. They're set up and based on your key dates that you might fill in when creating your project.

How to Subscribe to General Calendar Notifications

You can subscribe to General calendar notifications from your settings. To find your settings, click Your Name from the menu bar and click Settings. From this page, you'll have the ability to update your profile picture, reset your password, or update your timezone. 

Click Calendar Subscriptions to find the various subscription options available to you in admation.

To subscribe to calendar notifications, click Add to Calendar for the subscription category you'd like to start following. You have the choice of subscribing to: 

• Projects
• Away Days 
• Approval Deadlines
• Meetings

Then choose the calendar that you'd like to subscribe to, whether it be iCal, Google, Live or Outlook.

Admation will give you a set of instructions and an account-specific link to copy into your calendar's settings. Click Copy Link to add the link to your computer's clipboard.

You'll then be able to follow the instructions to paste the link into your calendar. Depending on your calendar application and your calendar application's version, these instructions may be different. We've provided two different guides below to get you started.

PS: Remember to click Save once you're ready to leave your Settings page! 

Subscribing to iCal (Mac OSX)

1. Copy the URL
2. Open Calendar application
3. Go File > New Calendar Subscription
4. Paste the URL
5. Enter your Username and Password
6. Review your settings

Subscribing to Outlook (Mail Client)

1. Copy the URL
2. Open Outlook
3. Go File > Account Settings > Account Settings
4. Click the Internet Calendars tab.
5. Click Add
6. Paste the URL and click OK
7. Enter your Username and Password
8. Accept the changes

Subscribing to Calendar Notifications from a Project 

You can also receive specific calendar notifications from your project! To do so, head to your Projects list and find the project you'd like to be notified for. Under your Project Details, you'll see a section which features your project's key dates.

To download a specific date to the default calendar on your device, click the calendar icon . You can also click Download all to download all .ics files to your computer for your project. Click on the downloaded file/s to add them to your device's digital calendar.
