An Overview on Website Feedback
Admation supports markups for websites and landing pages. This is a popular option for businesses who need feedback on Landing Pages and Website Development Projects. One key difference between these files and images is that users need to take screenshots of the item first.
On the Approvals View, you should see your website. For a refresher on getting to the approvals view, please view this guide. Before applying markups to a website, you need to ensure that you have downloaded our screenshot extension for your browser.
- If you're using Google Chrome, you can download the extension here;
- If you're using Safari or Firefox, you can download the extension from your approval screen, whenever you've been sent a file that requires the extension.
Admation will only render websites that are not part of an iFrame, but we have options for these types of websites too.
Using admation for Adding Mark-Ups to Websites
Once you’ve downloaded our snapshot extension for your browser, each of the elements in a rendered website should be clickable, and you’ll be able to navigate through it just like a normal website. Click through the web-pages until you find an element you’d like to provide feedback on.
If your website isn’t showing on this screen, skip over to the next section of this document for your options.
If you can see your website inside the platform, click through the web-pages as needed until you find an element you’d like to provide feedback on. Below the website preview, there are three (3) main buttons:
- Take Snapshot
- Reload Site
When you would like to provide feedback on a certain page or website element, click Take Snapshot. This will take a still image of the page you are currently on. You can take as many snapshots as you would like. They'll each be numbered in order at the bottom of your page.
Once you're done, click on a snapshot image now located at the bottom of your page to make your edits.
You can also delete a capture by clicking the trash icon next to that screenshot.
To add your comments to a screenshot, select a markup tool. Click and drag to draw a textbox where you can type in your feedback. Click Save once you are done. Continue adding your feedback in this way, and click Review when you would like to continue taking additional screen captures on the site.

Reviewing a Website that Doesn’t Render in admation
If your website is not showing in the Approvals view, click Open in New Window and use our snapshot extension to take screenshots of the elements you wish to provide feedback on.
Keep in mind that you should have downloaded our snapshot extension already. On Google Chrome, your snapshot will appear next to any other plugins you have already added to your browser. Please contact support if you require instructions on locating your snapshot extension in other browsers.
You only need to click the snapshot icon once per image. It will automatically generate a snapshot in your review panel.
Click back to your admation tab to view your snapshot, and add your markups to a screenshot as per the instructions above.
Note that if you've taken multiple screenshots, they will show across the bottom of your screen as thumbnails.
- Users with rendered websites would click the Review button to continue previewing the website.
- Un-rendered websites would return to the previous tab with the website link, using the snapshot extension to take additional screenshots as needed.
Click Approve or Changes in admation once you’re done!
