Reallocating a Task to Another Team Member
Department Managers in admation have the ability to allocate and reallocate tasks to members of their department. Because plans can change, it may sometimes be necessary to move tasks around between different team members. Reallocating tasks is sometimes an inevitable step to managing your resources effectively.
To reallocate a task, click the Resources button found on the top navigation bar.
The timeline view is the default view that allows department managers to oversee the current and future workloads of each team member in your department(s). To search for a specific resource or team member, use the Search Bar or Filter to further narrow down your search.
Next, click the Settings Cog icon next to the resource who’s currently allocated to that task. Select the Re-assign Tasks button from the dropdown list to re-assign that person's tasks.
Click on the specific task you wish to reassign. Then click on the Assign Task icon .
Reassign the task by dragging and dropping it onto the timeline. It is recommended that you reallocate a task to an individual with sufficient capacity to complete the task. Limited capacity is illustrated by many coloured bars on each individual’s timeline, representing their time already allocated to tasks or meetings.
You can re-assign the task to the same person on a different day, or to another team member who's also able to complete that task type.
Click Done Assigning once you have reassigned the task.
