Viewing Forwarded Feedback
After you’ve forwarded artwork for approval or feedback, you'll need to wait to receive a response from your team. In that time, any requests that you've forwarded should be left as pending.
You'll receive an email notification when you receive feedback. Click the link in the email to review that feedback.
You can also select your file from the Recent Projects, Messages or Approvals list, depending on how you like to work! Where prompted, click Go to Original Item.
Viewing Comments from Your Forward Request
When you open your document, ensure that you have the Forwards tab selected. This will display any of the comments you've received from the forward, as opposed to the comments you're already passing back to the submitter.
From the forwards tab, you might read a comment made by someone in the forward request and think, "Great! I agree with that. I’m going to pass that back to the submitter as part of my feedback."
Combining Comments into Your Own Response
To achieve this, you need to go through a process known as Collating Feedback.
As of admation 3.94, collating feedback is now available for videos, websites and animated GIFs using the snapshot tool, as well as static approval items!
Select all the comments you'd like to include using the checkboxes. If you don’t want to include specific comments as part of your response, uncheck the box for that particular comment. When you’re done, click the green Collate Selected button.
Admation will automatically toggle back to the Approval Info tab. This tab will now show any comments that you have made, and any comments you just collated into your feedback.
Continue adding your comments before you pass your feedback to the design team for review. Or click the Forwards Tab again to collate more feedback!
Responding to Comments in a Forward
You might also read a comment made by someone and think,
"Not quite! I don't think I agree with that. I’m going to ask that person to clarify what they mean before I pass this back to the designer."
In this case, you would need to hit Reply to respond to the comment.
You can also respond to a comment that you've collated from the Approval Info tab.
Keeping Feedback Anonymous
You’ll notice that any forwarded responses that you’ve collated include the name of the person you forwarded the work to. If you want to get rid of that person's name, you can click the Edit button on their comment. Once you save your changes, your name will replace theirs.
Sending Collated Feedback to the Designers
Click Approve or Changes once you are ready to submit all comments back to the person who sent it to you.
As of admation 3.95, you now have the ability to lock any pending forward requests when you submit your feedback!
Simply click the Checkbox to Lock Pending Forwards along with your decision.
Check out our video for more information on collating feedback. You can also check out our alternative guide on locking forwarded requests.
NB: This particular video is yet to be updated and does not include information on our new lock feature as yet.
